McMaster University receives $60 million from GM
Hamilton, Ontario – McMaster University’s Engineering Faculty is receiving more than $60 million from General Motors of Canada to establish the GM of Canada Centre for Engineering Design and the GM of Canada Centre for Corrosion Engineering Research. The official announcement was made by McMaster University Engineering Dean Mo Elbestawi, and GM Canada vice-president Allen J. Green.
The money is part of a $2.5 billion commitment, announced earlier this week by General Motors of Canada, which will be invested in the company’s manufacturing and research facilities, and in several universities in Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia.
