Mazda3, Ford F-Series top sellers in April
Richmond Hill, Ontario – Industry analyst Dennis DesRosiers has released sales figures showing that for the month of April, the top-selling passenger car in Canada was the Mazda3, while the Ford F-Series topped pickup truck sales.
April sales, in order of passenger cars sold, were the Mazda3, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Pontiac Grand Am, Toyota Echo, Honda Accord, Pontiac Sunfire, Toyota Matrix, Ford Focus and Chevrolet Impala.
Among trucks, the list for April was Ford F-Series, Dodge Caravan, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Silverado, Dodge Ram, Chevrolet Uplander, Pontiac Montana SV6, Ford Escape, Honda CR-V and Ford Freestyle.
Year-to-date figures for passenger cars showed that the top seller was the Honda Civic, followed by the Mazda3, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Echo, Pontiac Grand Am, Pontiac Sunfire, Honda Accord, Ford Focus, Toyota Matrix and Toyota Camry.
Among trucks, the top year-to-date seller is the Ford F-Series, followed by the Dodge Caravan, Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Dodge Ram, Ford Escape, Chevrolet Uplander, Ford Freestar, Pontiac Montana SV6 and Honda CR-V.
Overall, 91,395 passenger cars and 71,790 light trucks were sold in Canada in April 2005, while year-to-date figures are 257,698 passenger cars and 231,848 light trucks.
