The restyled Mazda6 introduces the new Mazda family face, along with new headlamps and taillights, for more sportiness and a clearer premium identity. Six engines will be available in international markets, including a new direct-injection 2.0-litre gasoline engine that uses less fuel and produces fewer emissions than the 2.0-litre it replaces. Its five-speed automatic transmission was adapted specifically for the engine to deliver an optimal combination of acceleration and fuel economy. Also available are 1.8- and 2.5-litre gasoline engines, and three derivatives of a 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine.
The Mazda6 also features new chassis settings and several new active safety features, such as adaptive front lighting and hill start assist.
The all-new Mazda5 includes the model’s double-sliding rear doors and seven-seat flexibility with new styling that uses elements of Mazda’s “Nagare Flow” design language. This highly functional styling contributes to fuel efficiency through a low drag coefficient, and optimal lift and air-swirl characteristics.
The new model uses a newly-developed direct-injection 2.0-litre gasoline engine with idle stop, and six-speed manual transmission, along with an available 1.8-litre gasoline engine.
