Mazda to introduce concept car with idle-stop in Frankfurt

Hiroshima, Japan – Mazda will introduce a new sub-compact concept car, featuring an idle-stop system, at the upcoming International Auto Show in Frankfurt. The system cuts off the engine when the vehicle is stopped, for fuel savings and emissions reductions.

Created at Mazda’s design centre in Germany, the vehicle, named Sassou, is a three-door hatchback powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine.
