May is National Car Care Month
Burlington, Ontario – May is National Car Care month, with Pennzoil-Quaker State Canada and Car Care Canada taking to the road to educate Canadian drivers across the country about the safety and benefits of maintaining and protecting vehicles.
A three-step checklist of checking all fluids, all hoses and belts, and tires helps to ensure that vehicles are ready for weekend travel and summer vacations. Such things as under-inflated tires, worn spark plugs, clogged air filters or even loose gas caps can have a large impact on fuel consumption and safety.
Car care expert Mark Reed of Pennzoil-Quaker State Canada also reminds owners of hybrid vehicles that these engines have unique lubrication requirements, because many are designed to turn off when a car stops at a red light or stop sign; the company sells Pennzoil Platinum for Hybrid Vehicles to provide extra protection.
