March car and truck sales up over March, 2005 figures

Richmond Hill, Ontario – March passenger car sales rose 4.2 per cent, while light truck sales rose 5.3 per cent over the same period in 2005, according to figures released by industry analyst DesRosiers Automotive Consultants. Of the ‘Big Three’, only General Motors posted lower figures over the period, while among other manufacturers, Mercedes-Benz posted the highest positive change of 129.3 per cent.
