Enfield, Nova Scotia – Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Canada has announced its 2010 Strides for Change walk-a-thon program, which starts with a five-kilometre walk this weekend in Nova Scotia.
The annual walk supports chapters and community leaders in their efforts to educate the public about the dangers of impaired driving and to help victims in their communities.
MADD East Hants will hold its event in Enfield, Nova Scotia on Sunday, May 2, 2010. Events are currently scheduled in over 20 communities, with more being added all the time, over the late spring and summer. In addition to walking, the Strides for Change events feature a number of activities and attractions for participants.
“We’re asking everyone to make Strides for Change by joining their local event,” said MADD Canada national president Margaret Miller. “These fun events are a great way for families to spend the day together, enjoy the great outdoors and meet others in their communities, all while supporting the fight to end impaired driving.”
