Oakville, Ontario – Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Canada has received a $66,500 grant from the Ontario Government’s Community Grants Program. The money will be used for the production of two television public service announcements (PSA) for Ontario audiences.

One PSA will reach out to victims of the crime of impaired driving, to inform them of MADD Canada’s comprehensive services and victim support. A second PSA will recruit new volunteers for the organization’s Victim Services.

The PSAs will be developed this summer and distributed in the fall to Ontario TV stations, along with college and university stations. MADD Canada will encourage broadcast media to air the announcements through the next two years; it will also be featured on the organization’s Web site.

The Ontario Government’s Community Grants Program provides funding to community-based organizations to support projects that assist victims.
