Toronto, Ontario – The Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup, an exclusive “luxury lifestyle” automotive rally in support of Toronto’s SickKids Foundation, will be held in that city on September 12 and 13, 2008. The event is open to owners of luxury automobiles; vehicles already signed up include examples from Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin and the Audi R8. The goal is to raise much-needed funds for children’s cancer research, care and treatment.
The Foundation is expecting 45 luxury-car owners to participate; each must agree to raise a minimum of $25,000 to enter the car, and to draft celebrities for the event, which will be held during the last weekend of the Toronto International Film Festival. Drivers who raise the most money will be in a better position to select a celebrity navigator, who will escort them through their scavenger cup adventure on the event’s second day.
The event will begin on September 12 with the celebrity draft party, followed by a Saturday brunch that leads to the Scavenger Cup adventure. For more information, visit RallyForKids.com.
