Land Rover unveils Land_e concept vehicle

Geneva, Switzerland – Land Rover has unveiled its Land_e, the e-Terrain Technology Concept, which showcases technologies that contribute to a potential 30 per cent improvement in fuel economy over a current vehicle of similar size and performance. The company says that most of the technologies will be available on Land Rover production models starting in the next few years.
The Land_e features an integrated electric rear axle drive; integrated starter-generator; innovative propshaft with seamless re-connect; terrain response e-Mode; bio-diesel capability; intelligent thermal programme; electric power assisted steering; and intelligent management of electrical systems.
