Land Rover to open third North American driving school

Carmel Valley, California – Following the success of its Land Rover Experience Driving Schools at the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello near Montreal, and Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, the company will open a third school at Quail Lodge in Carmel Valley, California in August 2005.

The schools offer participants off-road instruction behind the wheel of a Land Rover LR3, Range Rover Sport or Range Rover. Guests are coached according to level of experience, from novice to advanced. Obstacles and terrain vary from school to school, but all demonstrate proper off-road driving techniques including ascents, descents, rock crawling, winching and vehicle recovery, while following the tenets of Tread Lightly!, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to safe, environmentally responsible use of off-road vehicles.
