Bramalea, Ontario – Land Rover Canada has announced its third consecutive year of support for Quest for a Cure, an adventure race that raises money and awareness for cancer research.

Quest for a Cure was founded in 2002 by a team of Ottawa firefighters who saw a need to raise money and awareness for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. The non-profit organization is run entirely by volunteers and has raised more than $200,000 since its inception.

The eight-hour race includes 35 kilometres of mountain biking, hiking, orienteering and water challenges. The teams of two or three competitors must always stay together and complete the entire course, passing all checkpoints in the correct order, to finish as a ranked team.

Land Rover Canada is providing support vehicles for the event and an on-site Land Rover off-roading course. Quest for a Cure 2009 takes place June 27 at Le Chateau Montebello in Quebec. For more information, or to register, visit Quest For A Cure.
