Bramalea, Ontario – For the fourth consecutive year, Land Rover Canada is sponsoring Quest for a Cure, an adventure race that raises money and awareness for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.

Quest for a Cure, a registered non-profit run entirely by volunteers, was founded in 2002 by a team of Ottawa firefighters. Since then, it has raised more than $300,000 for cancer research and treatment.

The eight-hour race includes 35 kilometres of mountain biking, hiking, orienteering and water challenges. In teams of two or three, the teams must always stay together and complete the entire course, passing all checkpoints in the correct order, to finish as a ranked team. Land Rover will provide support vehicles for the event.

“Land Rover inspires and encourages adventure,” said Barbara Barrett, communications manager for Land Rover Canada. “So the partnering of these vehicles with these exemplary adventure athletes was a natural fit.”

Quest for a Cure takes place on June 26 at Le Chateau Montebello in Quebec. For more information, or to register, visit Quest for a Cure.
