Auburn Hills, Michigan – Kuwait’s Ministry of the Interior has purchased 150 Dodge Charger police vehicles for use in that country. A Kuwaiti delegation visited the U.S. to inspect and approve the outfitting of the vehicles; the Charger is the number-one volume vehicle for Chrysler in the Middle East.
“Chrysler is proud to have worked with Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior in the sale of these Dodge Charger police vehicles,” said Trent Barcroft, Managing Director, Chrysler Middle East Regional Office. “Chrysler has partnered with other countries in the sales of Charger police vehicles and we will look for additional opportunities to increase sales and expand the Dodge brand in our market.”
The delegation officials visited Chrysler’s headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan and drove the police units at the company’s proving grounds in nearby Chelsea.
The vehicles are being outfitted with police packages at Canfield Equipment Service in Warren, Michigan, with delivery to Kuwait expected to be completed in the next two months.
