Lexus best amongst luxury brands while Mazda takes home award for volume brands
Kelley Blue Book has announced the winners of their “5-Year Cost-To-Own” awards for 2014. The awards are given to brands and models expected to have the least projected cost to own over a five-year period, based on financing costs, insurance costs, anticipated costs of fuel, scheduled maintenance and repairs. Purchase price and depreciation are also factored in.
For 2014, Mazda garners the least projected costs of non-luxury brands while Lexus is awarded the same for luxury vehicles. KBB has also given awards for all major automotive categories, which can be seen in the list below.
