New York, New York – A 1964 Aston Martin DB5 that appeared in two James Bond films is being displayed in New York City before going on to RM Auction’s annual Automobiles of London sale at the end of October.

The car was driven by Sean Connery in both Goldfinger and Thunderball. It is expected to bring more than US$5 million, which would be the most ever paid for a movie vehicle.

Aston Martin Lagonda originally lent the car for the movies’ production. In 1969, Philadelphia radio broadcaster Jerry Lee convinced the company to sell him the car for $12,000. He remains its first and, currently, its only owner.
