Bramalea, Ontario – Jaguar has revealed the all-new 2010 Jaguar XJ in London, England, offering striking design and robust performance with lightweight aluminum body technology. The new model will go on sale in Canada in January 2010, starting at $88,000.

Canadian dealers are now taking orders for delivery in early 2010.

Building on the success of the XK and XF, the new XJ is the third step in the revitalization of the Jaguar brand, and will be available in both standard and long-wheelbase models. Its lightweight aluminum structure makes it at least 136 kg lighter than its rivals, and is made with 50 per cent recycled material.

With sleek, sporting design and breathtaking performance, we’re confident that our customers will be as excited as we are about the all-new XJ.”

Features include a standard panoramic glass roof, LED light cluster, slim xenon headlights, leather-wrapped instrument panel with analog clock, chrome and piano black interior detailing, and Virtual Instruments display.

In Canada, the XJ will be available with a choice of three engines: a 385-horsepower, 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8, a 470-horsepower, 5.0-litre supercharged V8, and a 510-horsepower, 5.0-litre supercharged V8. All engines use a six-speed automatic transmission. Standard or available options include air suspension, continuously variable damping, active differential control, and quick-ratio power steering.
