Jaguar slashes price of X-Type 3.0

Bramalea, Ontario – Jaguar Canada has lowered the price of the 2004 X-Type 3.0 to $44,995 from from $48,195, announced the company. As well, the X-Type 3.0 now includes a list of additional equipment, such as a standard moonroof and a premium stereo.
“The 2004 X-TYPE is positioned aggressively against our competition and now offers even more value to the consumer,” said Vic Bernardini, president of Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover Canada. “This is one of the most significant cars Jaguar has ever built and we’re confident the 2004 model will appeal to a wide variety of the car-buying public.”
For 2004, new standard features and changes include: 16″ all season tires (2.5-litre only), 16″ Tobego wheels (2.5-litre only), 17″ all season tires (3.0-litre only), 17″ Caymen wheels (3.0-litre only), moonroof (3.0-litre only), space saver spare tire, two front cup holders, new Sapele wood trim on fascia, centre console and all four doors, 140-watt AM/FM/CD radio with six speakers.
In addition, two new option packages are available:
The new Sport Package includes:
- 18″ Aruba wheels with performance tires
- Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)
- Monochromatic exterior
- Premium ICE with single Disc CD player head unit (Alpine 320 Watt system)
- Sport-tuned suspension
- Xenon headlamps
- Sport seats
The new Highline Package includes:
- 17″ wheels with all season tires and a unique design
- Burl walnut veneer
- Chrome exterior trim with additions
- Contrast interior trim details
- Premium ICE with CD Changer (trunk mounted)
- X1 – Premium Package
- X3 – Weather Package
The X-Type 2.5 remains at $41,195, the same MSRP as last year.
