Geneva, Switzerland – Jaguar has marked the 50th anniversary of its iconic E-type at the Geneva Motor Show. The model was first unveiled half a century ago in Geneva at the Hotel du Parc des Eaux Vives.
“What better way to celebrate half a century of the E-type than driving beautiful cars,” said Carl-Peter Forster, CEO and managing director of Tata Motors. “This is a magnificent sporting classic that symbolizes the power and the passion of the Jaguar brand, one of the factors that attracted Tata Motors to purchase both Jaguar and Land Rover.”
Forster and other Tata executives met with E-type owners and drove examples of the model along the same route taken by journalists at the press launch in 1961.
