Irvine, California – Jaguar has announced two new supercharged sports cars, the 2007 Jaguar XKR Coupe and Convertible, which will make their global debut at the 2006 London Motor Show later this month.
Designed in parallel with the naturally-aspirated XK Coupe and Convertible, the XKR versions use a 4.2-litre supercharged V8 engine that makes 420 hp and is capable of zero to 96 km/h in 4.9 seconds, with an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h. The versions also feature enhanced performance styling cues, including sportier grille and front bumper designs, vented hood and aluminum-effect side power vents, quad-exhaust system and optional 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels.
