On the coattails of the new Q50 sedan, Infiniti will be launching a “compact premium crossover” concept aimed at younger customers.
When September rolls around, Infiniti will have some new metal to show off at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the form of a compact crossover concept named Q30.
The new model, which will slot in below the soon to be released Q50, will be aimed squarely at a younger, more modern demographic.
“This Infiniti Q30 Concept is a prelude to the product portfolio expansion which underpins our aggressive global growth strategy,” said Johan de Nysschen, President of Infiniti Motor Company, Ltd. “In our quest to appeal to the modern, young-minded premium customer, the Infiniti Q30 Concept has a distinctive style and reaches new levels of product quality.”
The new car, said to take a niche between the Audi A3 and Q3, may end up being front wheel drive and powered by a forced-induction four-cylinder developed in conjunction with Mercedes-Benz.
