Mississauga, Ontario – Infiniti has launched its new specialty-performance vehicle collection, the Infiniti Performance Line (IPL), with the world debut of the new 348-horsepower IPL G Coupe. The first production vehicle in the new line, the IPL G Coupe will go on sale in Canada in March 2011.
The new line was launched at an exclusive event at the 60th annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance vintage car show in California.
“The Infiniti Performance Line, or IPL, offers a new level of premium performance for Infiniti vehicles, focusing not just on engine power and acceleration, but on redefining total vehicle performance,” said Wendy Durward, director of Infiniti Canada. “IPL promises unique driving attributes with exclusive designs, different from other Infiniti models in each selected Infiniti line. The 2011 IPL G Coupe is just the first of what we expect to be a range of IPL performance vehicles in the future.”
Targeted at buyers seeking performance luxury vehicles with individual style, the IPL vehicles include modifications to the exterior, interior, engine tuning and suspension. They will be identified by a special engine cover and badge on the trunk lid.
The unique exterior of the IPL G Coupe includes front and rear bumper design with integrated fog lights and black finishers, rear spoiler, sculpted side sills, chrome exhaust tips, 19-inch IPL wheels and low-profile Bridgestone Potenza performance tires.
