Yonkers, New York – The Infiniti G25 and Buick Regal Turbo have done well in a test of sports sedans by Consumer Reports. The G25 scored “Excellent” and the Regal Turbo “Very Good” in overall road test scores. The models were tested as part of a group of four sports sedans and outpointed competitors from Volvo and Audi.

The G25 now ranks second overall in a test of 13 sports sedans, behind its larger-engined Infiniti G37 sibling. The G37 was the magazine’s top pick in the sports sedan category in the annual auto issue. The Regal is now mid-pack in the rankings, slightly outpointing the less expensive non-turbo Buick Regal.

Consumer Reports also tested the redesigned Volvo S60 and updated Audi A4 for its July issue, and separately tested the turbocharged versions of the Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima. The S60 now ranks tenth out of the 13 vehicles tested, but is “much improved over its mediocre and outdated predecessor,” the magazine said. The A4 now ranks 12th. The Saab 9-3 Turbo is at the bottom of the rankings.
