2011_QX_02[1]Mississauga, Ontario – Infiniti Canada has released pricing for the all-new 2011 QX56, which will start at $73,000. Significant enhancements in the new model include 25 per cent more power, improved fuel economy, enhanced luxury and ride comfort, but at the same price as the 2010 model.

Available in dealerships this summer, the QX56 comes in seven- or eight-passenger seating, and will offer an optional technology package for $8,000.

Advanced technologies available on the new model include Infiniti’s Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, Around View Monitor, Blind Spot Warning, and Distance Control Assist.

The 2011 QX uses a new 5.6-litre V8 engine, combining Infiniti’s Variable Valve Event & Lift (VVEL) technology with gasoline direct injection and a seven-speed automatic transmission. Power increases to 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, but with a 10 per cent better fuel economy than the previous-generation QX. Towing capacity is 8,500 lbs.
