Markham, Ontario – Following the announcement of a special price discount on Accent models in Quebec, Hyundai Canada has announced that it is slashing the price of the 2008 Sonata by $5,150 in other Canadian markets. The new Sonata pricing will start at $18,995.
Hyundai has also reduced the cash purchase price on other models under its Blue Ribbon Sales Event, which includes savings of $3,000 on all trim levels of the 2008 Tiburon, which now starts at $15,995, and $4,200 on the Tucson L, which now starts at $16,995.
“We wanted to provide customers outside of Quebec a specially-priced Hyundai vehicle that would be on the scale of price reductions announced earlier for the Accent in Quebec,” said John Vernile, vice-president, sales and marketing, Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. “We decided to extend the price reduction to the award-winning Sonata that competes in one of the largest car segments outside of Quebec.”
The company said that including the Accent and Elantra, it now offers five vehicles starting below $20,000.
