Markham, Ontario – Hyundai Auto Canada has announced pricing on the all-new 2011 Elantra, which will start at $15,849. The price is the same as in 2010 despite a complete redesign and approximately $1,900 in extra features and equipment, the company said.

The price on the top-of-the-line Elantra Limited has been reduced by $1,100 to $22,699, while more than $1,400 in features and equipment has been added.

“Hyundai has always been about delivering value to customers,” said John Vernile, vice-president of marketing. “With the all-new Elantra, we worked hard to protect that position while at the same time delivering a vehicle with our new design language and best-in-class fuel efficiency. It’s a complete package our competitors are going to have a hard time matching.”

Standard equipment on all Elantra vehicles includes six airbags, vehicle stability management, traction control, six-speed manual or automatic transmissions, power windows, anti-lock brakes and a six-speaker audio system. New available features include heated rear seats, navigation system, rearview camera and proximity key with push-button start.

The new Elantra is built at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing in Alabama and will go on sale in Canada this month.
