Hummer introduces humourous TV advertising spots

Detroit, Michigan – Along the lines of its “Like Nothing Else” advertising tag line, Hummer will debut two new TV spots this week that take an unusual approach to automotive advertising.

The first commercial, called “Monsters”, is a monster movie with a twist. A giant monster and a robot confront each other, but instead of fighting, they fall in love. Eventually, the female monster becomes pregnant and gives birth to a “Little Monster”, a red Hummer H3. The ad will debut during the MTV Video Music Awards on August 28 and will subsequently air on other similar programming.

The second, “Bears”, is a takeoff on the Three Bears children story. A family of bears returns to its house, suitcases in tow, and finds that someone has been in the house. They scurry to their three-car garage, to find that Papa Bear’s H1 Alpha and Mama Bear’s H2 are safe and sound, but Baby Bear’s H3 is gone. Seconds later, a modern-day Goldilocks is driving away in it. Both ads are available for viewing at
