Hummer and GM Foundation deliver vehicles to Red Cross
Detroit, Michigan – In recognition of American Red Cross Month in March, and its partnership with the Red Cross, Hummer and the GM Foundation have announced the delivery of ten Hummers to Red Cross chapters across the U.S. to strengthen their emergency preparation and disaster response capability. The chapters will receive a combination of H1, H2 and H3 vehicles.
The vehicles are part of a committed 72-vehicle fleet, the first of which were delivered last December to Red Cross chapters in areas hit hardest by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. In addition to the vehicles, the GM Foundation is making cash contributions of US$100,000 annually for six years.
