Toronto, Ontario – A jump stunt at the Indianapolis 500 has landed Hot Wheels the new world’s record for a ramp-to-ramp jump.

As part of the IZOD Presents Hot Wheels Fearless at the 500, professional stunt driver Tanner Foust soared 332 feet (101 metres) in a specially-built four-wheel drive truck.

“Fans witnessed not only a record-breaking jump today, but also an incredible childhood fantasy come to life which engaged multiple generations,” said Simon Waldron, vice-president of marketing. “Hot Wheels has a deep and rich history in racing that spans over 40 years and there was no better global stage than the Indy 500 to create this once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

Tanner sped down a 90-foot (27-metre) ramp, suspended on an enormous “door” and flew across the infield of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in a rendition of Hot Wheels’ V-Drop toy track set.
