Geneva, Switzerland – Honda has unveiled its Small Hybrid Sports Concept at the Geneva Auto Show; the company says the vehicle represents its interpretation of how a future gasoline/electric hybrid model might appear. The concept, which is making its world premiere at the show, was penned by the design studio at Honda R&D Europe, based in Offenbach, Germany.

The Small Hybrid Sports Concept is conceived around a front-wheel drive, small car platform and is powered by a four-cylinder gasoline/electric hybrid system driving through a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The aerodynamic design uses curvaceous and contoured surfaces contrasting with sharp edges, short overhangs and wheel arches that wrap tightly around large wheels.

Features on the concept include 20-inch wheels with low-rolling resistance, sport suspension and rear-facing digital cameras in place of conventional door mirrors.
