Honda to temporarily idle assembly lines in Alliston, Ontario

Alliston, Ontario – Though there’s been a government-ordered reprieve in the west-coast port strike in the U.S.A., Honda Canada will be forced to temporarily shut down assembly lines at the Alliston, Ontario plants.

The Civic assembly line is expected to be shut down on Friday, while a second assembly line producing the Honda Odyssey minivan, Honda Pilot, and Acura MDX SUVs will also be shut down temporarily. The length of the shutdown was not announced.
