Honda Ridgeline earns U.S. top government crash test rating

Toronto, Ontario – The Ontario-built 2006 Honda Ridgeline has earned a five-star safety rating for both frontal and side impact crash test performance from the U.S. National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA). Honda’s first pickup truck is also the first four-door pickup to earn this rating.
Four other Honda vehicles sold in Canada also received the top rating for both frontal and side impacts: the Odyssey minivan, Element compact SUV, CR-V compact SUV and Pilot SUV.
Safety features on the Ridgeline include breakaway windshield wiper pivots, energy-absorbing hood structure and hinges, dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags, vehicle stability assist, side curtain airbags with rollover sensor, anti-lock brakes and electronic brake assist.
