Markham, Ontario – Honda Canada will voluntarily recall 9,954 Pilot vehicles, model year 2009 through 2011, to inspect and potentially replace the driver’s and/or front passenger’s seatbelt.

On a small number of belts, the stitching connecting the lap section of the belt to the outboard anchor webbing may be insufficient, and in a crash, the may become disconnected from the anchor webbing. No deaths or injuries have been reported related to this condition.

Honda is encouraging all owners of affected vehicles to visit an authorized dealer as soon as they receive the recall notification, which will begin in late September 2011.
