Markham, Ontario – Free admission will be available to the 2011 Honda Indy Toronto, courtesy of Honda’s “Free Friday” charity campaign.

The Ontario Honda Dealers Association (OHDA) will underwrite the cost of admission for everyone to opening day of racing at the Honda Indy Toronto on Friday, July 8, 2011. It is the second year that OHDA has offered the promotion, which includes a fundraising component to benefit Make-A-Wish Canada.

Visitors to the Friday event are asked to give a donation to Make-A-Wish Canada volunteers in lieu of admission, which Honda Canada will match dollar for dollar. Last year, more than $112,000 was raised during IndyCar racing in Toronto and Edmonton for the charity, which helps make “wishes come true” for Canadian children living with life-threatening medical conditions.

There are no reserved seats on Friday during the race, except for designated corporate suites, so fans can select any seats on a first-come, first-served basis, including gold and silver sections around the track.

Honda Indy Toronto runs July 8 to 10, 2011.
