Honda Canada to introduce more powerful 2008 Honda Civic Si Sedan
Toronto, Ontario – Honda Canada has announced that the Civic Si Sedan will be added to the company’s line-up for the 2008 model year. The new sedan will be available in early October, starting at $26,680.
Mechanically identical to the Civic Si Coupe, the Sedan uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that develops 197 hp and 139 lb-ft of torque, with good fuel economy and low exhaust emissions, and drive-by-wire throttle control. It is available exclusively with a short-throw, six-speed manual transmission and helical type limited-slip differential.
Other features include Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure for improved crash protection, active front head restraints, standard side and curtain airbags, sport-oriented and speed-sensitive electric power steering, and 17-inch alloy wheels with performance tires. The Civic Si is built exclusively at Honda’s plant in Alliston, Ontario.
