Toronto, Ontario – Honda Canada Inc. has announced the arrival in Canada of its new President and CEO, Mr. Manabu Nishimae. He replaces Mr. Hiroshi Kobayashi who has been appointed Deputy Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Regional Sales Operations for the Japanese domestic market.

Mr. Nishimae, who has previously worked in Canada for Honda Canada’s Motorcycle Division in the late 1980’s, was most recently the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Regional Sales Operations (Japan)

“I am happy to be back in Canada,” said Manabu Nishimae, President and CEO of Honda Canada Inc. “I’m very pleased to see the growth that Honda has made in the Canadian market since my previous assignment here. When I last worked in Canada, the Acura Division was just being launched and Honda was selling a limited range of motorcycles, cars and power equipment. The company has grown dramatically since then. The change is truly remarkable.

“I am looking forward to bringing my years of experience in Canada, the United States and Japan to ensure the continued satisfaction of our many Honda and Acura customers here in Canada.”

A graduate of Japan’s Keio University with a degree in Economics, Mr. Nishimae started with Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Tokyo, in 1977.
