Richmond Hill, Ontario – The Honda Civic and Ford F-Series topped the Canadian sales lists for passenger cars and light trucks, according to industry analyst Dennis DesRosiers.

“Virtually every one of the top ten cars and top ten light trucks were up double digit,” DesRosiers said. “Only the Toyota Yaris and Hyundai Accent saw sales declines for the month.”

In order, the top ten best-selling passenger cars in February were the Honda Civic, Mazda3, Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra, Hyundai Accent, Toyota Matrix, Ford Focus, Toyota Yaris, Chevrolet Cobalt and Volkswagen Golf.

Year-to-date to the end of February, the top ten were the Mazda3, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra, Hyundai Accent, Ford Focus, Toyota Yaris, Toyota Matrix, Volkswagen Golf and Chevrolet Cobalt.

In order, the top ten best-selling light trucks in February were the Ford F-Series, Dodge Caravan, Dodge Ram, Ford Escape, GMC Sierra, Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Silverado, Hyundai Santa Fe, Ford Ranger and Dodge Journey.

Year-to-date to the end of February, the top ten were the Ford F-Series, Dodge Caravan, Dodge Ram, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Silverado, Ford Escape, Hyundai Santa Fe, Honda CR-V, Ford Ranger and Dodge Journey.

A total of 45,400 passenger cars and 54,843 light trucks were sold in Canada in February.
