Hockey and racing professionals to stage charity hockey challenge in Thornhill, Ontario
Thornhill, Ontario – Drivers from the upcoming Labour Day Grand Prix of Mosport will be joined by current and retired professional hockey players for a charity hockey game on Tuesday, August 29 in Thornhill, Ontario, north of Toronto. Proceeds from the game will benefit Shoot for a Cure, which raises funds for spinal cord research, and the Community Alliance for York Region Education’s Put The Brakes On Bullying program.
Drivers will include Ron Fellows, John Graham and Scott Maxwell, all of whom are competing in the American Le Mans Series race in Mosport, Ontario on the Labour Day weekend.
The game will be held at Thornhill’s Pavilion Ice Arena; tickets are $10 for adults and teenagers, and $5 for children 12 and under. They can be purchased in advance by calling 905-763-8000.
