Greyhound launches second annual “Road Scholar” program
Toronto, Ontario – Greyhound Canada has launched its second annual Greyhound Road Scholar contest, a scholarship program that gives students a chance to win university or college tuition for one year, plus $1,000 worth of prizes. The program received more than 25,000 entries in its first year.
“The Road Scholar program got off to a successful start last year,” says Paul Dillon, marketing director, Greyhound Canada. “We awarded three students $5,000 for tuition and books for one year. They also received $1,000 in additional prizes. Our hope is to help more students this year because we understand it can be a struggle to pay for higher education.”
Three winners from across the country will win $5,000 in tuition and books, while fifteen other students will receive Discovery Passes, a flexible 30-day bus pass good for anywhere the company travels in North America.
Each time students ride Greyhound or ship using Greyhound Courier Express, they receive one entry by registering online with a code number on the receipt. Students also get up to five entries for referring their friends. The winners will be notified on September 7, 2007. For more information, visit GreyhoundCommons.ca.
