GM workers ratify new contract

Toronto, Ontario – CAW members who work at General Motors of Canada plants have voted in favour of a new three-year collective agreement with the company. Workers at Ontario plants in Oshawa, St. Catharines, Windsor and Woodstock voted on the tentative agreement at ratification meetings last weekend.

Production workers voted 78 per cent in favour, while skilled trades voted 83 per cent in favour.
