GM of Canada announces pricing for 2004 Colorado and Canyon pickups
Oshawa, Ontario – GM of Canada has announced pricing for the new 2004 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon mid-size pickup trucks. The Colorado pickup will have a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) starting at $16,995 for the base two-wheel-drive Regular Cab; and the GMC Canyon base two-wheel drive Regular cab MSRP will start at $17,195, excluding freight. The new pickups will arrive in dealerships this month.
“These midsize vehicles are about meeting the needs of today’s lifestyles with greater functionality, more power, more space and a comprehensive range of choices” said Paul Dinneen, Marketing Manager for Trucks.
The standard engine is the Vortec 2800 inline four-cylinder, which produces 175 horsepower and 185 lb.-ft. of torque. The 220-horsepower Vortec 3500 inline five-cylinder is available. A five-speed manual gearbox is standard, while an electronically controlled four-speed automatic is optional.
Built on GM’s all-new midsize truck architecture, Colorado and Canyon feature power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, large front disc brakes with twin-piston calipers, coil-over front suspension on two-wheel-drive models, torsion bar front suspension on four-wheel-drive models, and tuned body mounts that reduce interior noise and vibration.
