GM of Canada announces pricing for 2003 Pontiac Vibe

Oshawa, Ontario – General Motors of Canada announced the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the new 2003 Pontiac Vibe which goes on sale this month.

The MSRP for the base Vibe is $19,150. Standard equipment includes a 130 horsepower 1.8 litre four cylinder engine with a 5-speed manual transmission, air conditioning, in-dash 115 volt AC outlet, roof rack, rear cargo track system, lift-gate with separate lift glass, fold-flat passenger and rear seating, dual front air bags, CD player, power mirrors, front and rear variable intermittent wipers, and driver’s seat height adjuster.

An option package, which includes 4-speed automatic transmission, 16″ alloy wheels, remote keyless entry, power door locks, power windows, and cruise control, boosts the price of the base model to $22,120.

The Vibe AWD (all-wheel-drive) has an MSRP of $26,150. It’s equipped with a standard 4-speed automatic transmission, seat-mounted side air bags, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, 6-speaker premium sound system, remote keyless entry, power door locks, cruise control, and power windows.

The front-wheel-drive Vibe GT starts at $26,550 and is powered by a different 180 horsepower 1.8 litre DOHC high performance engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The Vibe GT includes standard seat-mounted side air bags, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, remote keyless entry, power door locks, cruise control, power windows, rear disc brakes, 16″ alloy wheels, and a 6-speaker premium sound system.

Vibe is produced at a joint GM/Toyota plant in Fremont, California. Arriving at dealerships February 2002, the Vibe comes with a 5-year/100,000 km powertrain warranty as well as the standard 3 yr/60,000 km warranty.
