Oshawa, Ontario – General Motors of Canada has announced pricing for the all-new 2008 Saturn Vue Green Line, which goes on sale in November. The Vue Green Line has a starting price of $30,790, which GM says is the most affordable hybrid SUV on the market, and more affordable than many competitor hybrid sedans.

The Vue has a highway rating of 6.1 L/100 km and city rating of 8.2 L/100 km, which GM says is better fuel economy than the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. It also offers a range of almost 1,200 km on a single tank of gasoline.

Later in 2008, Saturn will introduce a two-mode hybrid Vue, which will increase fuel economy by an estimated 45 per cent over the comparable non-hybrid model. The company says it is also committed to producing a plug-in hybrid Vue that will get approximately twice the fuel economy of any SUV currently on the market.
