GM, Ford and Honda take Urban Wheel awards

Detroit, Michigan – General Motors, the Ford Edge and the Honda Fit have taken top honours in their categories at the 11th annual 2007 Urban Wheel Awards, held during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The awards, presented by On Wheels, Inc., celebrate diversity in the automotive industry.

General Motors won Company of the Year, while the Ford Edge was named Truck of the Year and the Honda Fit took Car of the Year. Other winners included Don Goodwin of DaimlerChrysler, named African American Executive of the Year; Joe Chao of DaimlerChrysler, named Asian Executive of the Year; and Marcos DeOliveira of Ford, named Latino Executive of the Year.

The prestigious awards are presented by On Wheels, Inc., which publishes African Americans On Wheels, Asians On Wheels and Latinos on Wheels, with a combined readership of five million.
