GM Fairfax plant produces 10 millionth car
Kansas City, Kansas – General Motors’ Fairfax Assembly Plant marked the production of its 10 millionth car, a black 2006 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx, on Friday, August 19.
The event was marked with a special program, including speakers from the UAW and GM Fairfax, representatives of the State House and Senate, and the Wyandotte Country Mayor. The car was driven off the line by five Fairfax Assembly employees with the highest plant seniority. The Fairfax plant is the only manufacturer of the Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Maxx.
