Oshawa, Ontario – General Motors of Canada has announced the appointment of Kevin Williams as president and managing director, effective immediately. He succeeds Arturo Elias, who will take a senior position in the company’s policy centre in Washington, D.C.

Most recently, Williams was responsible for leading GM’s service and parts operations.

“I’d like to thank Arturo Elias for his dedicated leadership throughout a challenging time for the GM Canada team,” said Ed Whitacre, GM chairman and CEO. “He guided GM Canada through the recent global industry crisis, and helped it emerge as a new, stronger company with a great future ahead of it.”
