GM Canada announces pricing for new 2006 Cadillac STS-V and XLR-V

Oshawa, Ontario – GM Canada announced pricing for two new limited production 2006 V-Series Cadillacs. For 2006, the CTS-V will be joined by the STS-V sedan that starts at $97,995 MSRP and the XLR-V roadster with a MSRP of $112,995. Both vehicles will arrive in dealerships in January 2006.

Both STS-V and XLR-V feature the new 4.4L Supercharged Northstar V8 engine sequentially fuel injected with Variable Valve Timing, paired with a new 6-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control. This powerful combination enables 0-to-100 km acceleration in less than five seconds.

The STS-V is the most powerful Cadillac ever offered, producing 469 hp and 439 lb. ft. of torque. Extensive list of standard features include high performance Brembo brake system, Tire Pressure Monitor, rear spoiler and 18-inch front and 19-inch rear Pearl Nickel painted aluminum wheels.

The XLR-V produces 443 hp and 414 lb. ft of torque. Standard features include a high performance dual polished stainless steel exhaust, 19-inch Sterling Silver painted aluminum wheels and performance braking, voice recognition and electronic adaptive cruise control.
