Oshawa, Ontario – GM of Canada has announced that the all-new 2008 Saturn Vue compact crossover will have a starting price of $26,990 for the front-wheel drive XE model, and $31,278 for the all-wheel drive XE model. In up-level XR trim, the FWD model starts at $31,338, the AWD at $33,920; the performance-oriented Red Line models will start at $36,020 in FWD and $38,605 in AWD.
The company says that the base 2008 Vue has a lower starting price when compared to a similarly-equipped 2007 model.
The Vue starts with a 2.4-litre Ecotec engine in the FWD XE; AWD XE models use a 3.5-litre V6. Vue XR and Red Line models have a 3.6-litre V6 engine; this fall, the company will also offer a continuation of the Green Line hybrid system, followed next year with a new FWD, V6 application of GM’s two-mode hybrid technology.
All Vue models come standard with seat airbags, rollover-capable curtain airbags, automatic door locks, OnStar and standard, segment-exclusive electronic trailer sway control feature.
