General Motors to market Fiat vehicles in Mexico

Mexico City – General Motors de Mexico (GMM) and the Fiat company have announced the signing of a commercial agreement to market and distribute Fiat vehicles in Mexico.

GMM will market Fiat vehicles and offer service support, spare parts and assistance. This alliance will offer attractive benefits for the two companies. Fiat will launch its product onto the Mexican market, using GMM’s experience and infrastructure, while GMM will strengthen its portfolio of vehicles still further in different key segments with new products.

GMM will begin marketing Fiat vehicles in the third quarter of this year with the Palio line of autos, which includes the five-door Palio, the Palio Sedan and the Palio Adventure. These cars are already successfully marketed in European and Central and South American countries.
