Shanghai, China – The all-new Ford Focus that made its global debut as a concept car last June at a show in Beijing was unveiled for the press at Auto Shanghai 2005. The sedan will be built by Changan Ford Automobile Co. Ltd in Chongaqing, with deliveries expected to begin in October.
Ford is also showing other cars in the Focus range, including the Focus Vignale concept and Focus 2006 World Rally Championship.
The car retains the trademark Focus high rear lamps and distinctive side window graphic, but with flared wheel well arches. It will feature a German-engineered 1.8-litre Duratec engine and an automatic or optional manual transmission.
